The Wheel.

Asher's Valentine. She wants to marry him.

Found this picture on my phone.
Since my kids have identical feet, don't know whose they are.

Lonely Oatmeal.

Boyfriend likes bubbles.
Last week he used an entire bottle of shampoo to make them. Twice.

Round two of cavity intervention.

You can have a clean house or you can have kids. But you can't have both.
My house was spotless a few hours before this scene.

Perfect shirt for a girl who loves baby chickens.

Ho Hum.

Did you notice that's it's been almost 2 months since my last post?

If you did notice, you must be my mom. Hi mom. Love you.

Well, I don't have more time on my hands, but I'm trying to quit watching T.V during the day so I can do more productive things. Like blog. Wink.

Okay.... Here's my randomness. Proceed with caution.

It's been 4 years since we moved to Chicago. I still love it. But I'll admit a little less than I used to. It's getting easier to see all the yucky things. Maybe it's just February and I'm in an perma-bad mood till June.

Did you know that we sold our car when we moved here and we never bought another one? We haven't owned a car in 4 years! So a big topic in our house is wether we are going to buy a car. After much anguish on my part and love and understanding on Jared's part, we will buy one before next winter. Yay for me.  No more bike riding in the snow!

Random fact: including purchase price, insurance, gas, and maintenance you spend about $500+ a month on your car. What would you do with an extra $500 a month? We consider it plane ticket money.

We are going home to AZ next month. Wahoo! I haven't been back since TWO Octobers ago.

All Asher wanted for Christmas was train stuff.  But since he already has trains we got him Hot Wheels toys. For days he told everyone, "My mom didn't get me trains for Christmas." It was said in a depressed resentful way.

Today Hannah didn't wear a head band. First time in 2 years.

I'm thinking about talking to a child therapist about my parenting technique. I'm afraid I'm screwing up my kids for life.

I've been wrestling with what to do for a career beyond personal training. It's been heavily on my mind for awhile. Then I recently went to a conference to get re-certified (It was awesome!) and during the conference I figured out what I want to do with my life.  I'm already doing it.  How convenient.

For some odd reason the only day of the whole year my kids sleep in is Christmas day. Also the same day Jared and I are incapable of sleeping in. Every other day they are up at the butt crack of dawn and we want to sleep in.

I am doing a year long fitness challenge with a few friends. We can only have sugar one day of the week. If you break the rules it will cost you $50 each time. Very motivating. And I feel fantastic.

I will confess something... I'm a personal trainer who doesn't exercise. Shhh...

We use Zip Car. I really like it. For now.

Most Disney movies scare Asher and he leaves the room.

I feel guilty about everything.

I still like it when it snows.

I don't just stand there in the shower. But it still takes me 25+ minutes.  And my skin is lobster red when I get out. Anything less than that is too cold. I secretly believe that long hot showers keep you from getting sick.

At night I get into bed with my kids, I kneel at their feet, then I yell, "TIMBER!" and fall over on them. They love it and request more.

I love cheese and crackers.

My kids have identical feet. You can't tell them apart by looking at their feet. Feet twins.

Blogging used to be so easy, but Instagram made it seem so hard. But I believe in keeping a record. That's why I'm here today.

I feel guilty about not posting more.

We are thinking about going on a awesome vacation this summer. So awesome it scares me a little.

I'm actually getting less creeped out by mice. I hate that fact.

We got the new revolutionary mouse traps that are getting awesome reviews on Amazon. They came today. I can't wait to hear tiny necks snap tonight. Yes, I've turned evil and uncaring.

I'm 32 years old and I just discovered the secret to life is... don't eat sugar.
It will improve every aspect of your life for the better. Ta da!

Jared and I are taking a ceramics class together.

Till next time...

Movie night. Still good when seen upside down.
It's 6 am. He knows it's Tuesday. He watches for me.
I walk up and wave. Then he goes and tells my client I'm here. I get buzzed in.
He's an enormous black German Shepard doorbell.

Stuck around for winter. I respect that.

Jared made ice candle holders. Fun.

Angel.
It finally snowed here.

Glazing.

I'm so addicted to throwing stuff away.
I took a picture of this Mother's Day necklace Hannah gave me so I could chuck it.
I haven't yet. Feeling guilty.
My mother kept mine.

"Mom, we don't eat people. It's not nice."
Asher puts his hand up like this when he's trying to make a point or say something profound.
Picking out the M&M's.

They have little tea parties all the time.
It got cold.
Taken from the 25th floor of a client's apartment building.

I recently had a dream where there was something heavy on me making it hard to breathe.
Then I woke up and realized Asher was dead asleep on toop of me.

Till yesterday, this girl has worn headbands every day for 2 years.
She suddenly decided she was over it. I'm sad.

Uncooked food is so much prettier than cooked food.

My Christmas present to Asher was a gingerbread decorating party.
He wanted it.

I came upon this scene one day.
He loves strawberries.
The backwards underwear making a snuggie is my favorite.

Jared and I are in a ceramics class. It's really fun.
Hannah made Asher a cape for Christmas.
He feels really cool wearing it.
And brave.
Even super heros fall and need their mommy.
Girl friend has cavities.
Loads of them.

Barfed 4 times in 2 hour car trip.

For Christmas, I gave Hannah a tea party

Asher lives to go to Costco.
But he always falls asleep on the way and sleeps through it all.
She moved to Utah.
I hate Utah.
They take all the good people away.
Did you know that Hannah is obsessed with baby chickens?
Has been for some time now.
Hannah drew me the coolest picture for Christmas.
It currently hangs in our dining room.
She spent days on it.
I love it so much.
