The Pinetop Drop.

Hannah and her cousin, Emily, had a blast playing together this weekend in Pinetop, AZ.

We squeezed them into a one-seater stroller. They loved it!

They had fun on the swing...

Maybe a little too much fun.

But don't worry, they landed on soft dirt and were just fine. They eventually got back on the swing. My dad fixed it so it will never flip over again. We just had to post the video.

Us adults also had an enjoyable time taking walks, playing games, eating yummy food, and watching movies.

Family trips are so fun!

Did You Cough? Time For a CAT Scan.

I'm a little paranoid and nervous when it comes to the health of my family.

The other day I said to Jared, joking of course,

"If we had the means, I would make us get full-body CAT scans every year. Just to make sure."

He then said, "If we had the means, would you buy a CAT scan machine to put in our mansion and use it whenever we got sick?"

Hummm.... Interesting. If I had endless money and was frivolous, I would buy a CAT scan machine.

What ridiculous item would you buy, If money wasn't an issue?

Has It Really Been A Year?

Poor Hannah. On her birthday, we went to the doctor to get her 12 month shots. While there, she also picked up a tummy virus and couldn't keep anything down for the next 3 days.

BARF is now my least favorite body substance to be covered in.

We believe the worst is over now. She is on a prescribed diet of Gatorade and Cheerios.

So far, so good.

But, she loved her birthday party which took place before this barf-filled week.

Thank you everyone for coming to celebrate her first birthday.

Did I Lock The Front Door?

Many nights after I've crawled into bed, relaxed, and found my comfy position, I remember one or more things that I have to do before I can go to sleep.

At this moment, I'm annoyed. I don't want to get out of bed. It's late. I've had a long day. I just want to drift off to my happy place.

I try to ignore these thoughts of things that have to be done.

But now they are there, haunting me.

After 10 to 15 minutes, I come to accept the fact that I'm not going to be able to sleep unless I do them. So I drag my sad little self out of my perfectly comfortable spot, do what I need to do, and then go back to bed.

I need to make some pre-bedtime adjustments in my life, so I can just smoothly go to sleep at the end of the day.

What do you forget to do?

Whatever You Do... Don't Look Down.

We had a down right fun weekend.

Saturday, we went out to dinner and rode around town on Jared's new scooter.

My first Mother's Day, Jared made my favorite breakfast. Sausage Waffles. Yum Yum. You all should ask me for the recipe. I dream about them.

Hannah has found a new adventure.
Where's Hannah?

There she is!

We hope you had a great weekend.

It's Fun To Eat My Backyard.

We've been grilling quite a bit lately.

Most of my marinades have called for lemon juice.

I can't quite put into words how much fun it is for me to walk into our backyard and pull a lemon off our tree to use for cooking. This got me fired up to plant a garden.

So I did.

I planted some regular stuff like strawberries, squash, and tomatoes.

I also planted some fun things like chocolate mint, lemon thyme, and jalapeƱos. I don't know what I'm going make with chocolate mint, but if it tastes anything like it smells... yum.

This is kind of a science project for me. If it goes well, then next year I want to try growing everything from seeds.

It's been 2 days and they're still alive. Wahoo!

Look At Me Now.

This is Hannah 1 year ago.

This is Hannah now!

As you can see, she is quite the busy girl. We do our best to keep up.
She turns 1 on May 19th.
