Asher got really good at the army crawl today. It just took the right movtivation...
A toy bucket.
(Please forgive Hannah's tantrum in the background, it was time for bed.)
And then he wondered what the camera would taste like.
And in case you didn't get enough from the first two videos.
I have my moments when I'm in shock about how fast he is growing up. He'll by 7 months old in about a week. Time flies too fast.
It all started with Jared and Lisa in '04. Hannah joined up in '07. Asher got in on the action in '09. The team currently plays in Chicago and loves it.

The 3rd Floor Life.
Life on the 3rd floor has its ups and downs.

(Pic taken in winter)
Pros:
Lost baby weight in 2 months.
Awesome view.
Good breeze.
Feel safe.
Cons:
STAIRS, STAIRS, STAIRS! 42 stairs to be exact.
And go through 3 doors. 2 of them are heavy and will push you over.
Out of breath and dizzy when I get to the top.
Low movitvation for leaving the apartment due to stairs.
I'm tired of hauling 2 kids, groceries, diaper bag, and a stroller up stairs... all at the same time.
I'm done, I quit, adios stairos!
We are moving to the 1st floor on Saturday. I can't remember the last time I wanted something so bad.
It may seem silly to you, but I have dreamed of this since we moved here.

For The Record.
This post is for journal-keeping sake. I don't usually write this much.
Asher is 6 months old this week.

He is always happy.

Most of Hannah's clothes have stains. She has one nice shirt that I save for Sunday.

(We think this picture is funny)

He tries to sit up. He does a bunch of crunches. He's starting to get baby definition in his abs.

They're friends.
Hannah says, "I want to hold it" when asking to hold Asher. Apparently Asher is a thing, not a person.

Check out Asher's awesome uneven hair do. He's got a bush on top and not much anywhere else.
Hannah
She is 2 going on 17. She is quite the diva-queen of the world. She knows her colors, counts to 20, she talks, and communicates pretty well. At the park she likes to play with trash and stick things down the sewer drains (Not so fun for me). We love that crazy girl.
Her current favorite books are, "People House" and "If You Give a Pig a Pancake." She likes to tell us, "Be happy" randomly through the day. And during dinner, she recites rules we drill into her: Draw on paper only, Don't touch the bug, and Be nice to Asher.
Her drawing privileges have been taken away. She is only allowed to draw under heavy, supervised conditions. I basically stand right there and remind her every 2 minutes that she can only draw on paper. If you saw my house you would understand. Next week a team of people are coming to my house to wash and un-do the damage that Hannah has caused. It will take us hours.
Oh, I took the pacifier away... forever. It's going well.
Asher
He has his 2 bottom razor sharp teeth in. He LOVES to eat cereal. If you don't feed him fast enough he cries. He likes to sleep in the corner of his bed with a blanket touching his face. He does NOT sleep through the night yet (tear for Mommy), but his happy daytime manor makes up for it.
He pretty much smiles anytime you look at him, talk to him, or touch him. He is quite the easy going child (high-five for Mommy).
A few weeks ago Jared said Asher reached his max cuteness. Meaning Asher could not possibly get any cuter. But Jared has said that just about everyday since.
Seriously, that kid is cute.

Lisa
I am a mom. What else is there to say? My kids are my life.
But I am also the secretary in the Young Women's program at my church. I love it. I get to have fun with the girls and leaders every week at church and activities.
I love going to the beach or the point to swim. I am super scared that this awesome weather is about to get cold. I think going down town is so fun and get excited for any chance to do it.
I love my blog. I think it's so fun to write a post each week.
I love taking pictures. I wish I had more time to do it. Also, I am trying to become a runner. I go running on the mornings that I actually got to sleep that night.
I'm also into trying new recipes. I try at least 2 new ones each week. It's really fun and a creative outlet for me.
Jared
He officially started his Masters program at the Institute of Design 2 days ago. Wahoo! He thinks it's going to be a really interesting and engaging semester.
He often bikes to school. It's about 6 miles there and 6 back. He also plays Ultimate Frisbee on Saturdays with a bunch of people.
He's really good about balancing school and family time. We go out as a family often to the park or beach.
Sorry Jared, I couldn't think of anything else to write about what you're up too.
In Conclusion, life is good. We really like it here. The summer has been a blast so far. We had fun visitors come and we've done much of the fun stuff that Chicago has to offer.
It feels like home.

We Have A Winner.
If there was a contest to see who could have the most fun in Chicago...
Diana would win.

She did the beach, Field Museum, Navy Pier, Gladys Knight's Choir Concert, White Sox game, Air and Water Show, Boat Tour, Face Fountain, The "Bean", Buckingham Fountain, Hancock Building, Chicago pizza, and more...
And we went with her.

(Buckingham Fountain)

(Air and Water Show)

(Asher DID NOT like the loud planes)

(Our fabulous toe and recipe exchange night... I went overboard with the stickers)

(She was Hannah's favorite person all week)

(Face Fountain Fun)

(Dinner with a view at the Hancock)
Diana... come back anytime. There's always an air mattress waiting in our dining room for you.
P.S. Jared was there too, somehow he never made it on camera.
